The Trade Only National Show 2010 has been hailed as the most successful ever, breaking previous records with nearly 2,400 visitors through the doors of the Ricoh Arena in Coventry over the two days – 18% up on 2009.
The massive increase bucks the trend for other trade shows in the promotional products market, which have almost all seen a decline in recent years.
Initial analysis has the final number of visitors at 2,349, compared with 1,932 in 2009. The number of unique distributor visitors was also up (2,182 against 1,848).
Show attendees were offered a superb package including a record 250 exhibitors, world class speakers, free holte, free travel, free wi-fi and even a free lunch.
The Trade Only National Show was also a big hit with the exhibitors.
Glenn Hyams of BTC Activewear said: “Congratulations to Trade Only for putting on the best UK Industry Trade Show ever! We were busy from start to finish and a constant recurring comment I heard was: ‘We had to come back a number of times to see you, as you were always so busy.’ And we had 15 staff on the stand each day!”
Graham Winter of PF Concept added: “This year it was particularly good in terms of the quality of attendance, with people serious about business coming along with agenda points in mind.”
“It’s been amazing,” said Neeta Varia of Brunel Trade Services. “It’s been non-stop since we came in.”
Nigel Bailey, Event Director for Trade Only, said: “It has been a phenomenal few days, without doubt the biggest and best show this industry has ever seen.
With over 70% of exhibitors re-booking at the show, we are already hard at work planning the 2011 event. Feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike has been very positive.”
